The first four weeks at Götabro are intense. We study a lot, get to know each other and travel around to a few churches in Sweden. Some of the school’s students only attend this short course called Icthus. One of them was my best friend at school, Jocke, who is now somewhere on Bali I believe.
A week at Icthus contains: classes all day long, lots of food (breakfast, fika, lunch, dinner, fika), and some night activity (small group, service, choir, theme night). On the second and third weekend we went on trips to churches and took care of a few meetings there. Our first trip was to Mariestad and Götene, and the second one to Sunne and Karlstad. This was my favorite part of the weeks, cause we got to leave school and use stuff we’ve learned. Each night the choir would sing, a group of students would lead us in worship, and a few students would share something from their lives. Most times we ended the night with FIKA!
When Ichtus was over I had a few days off that I spent in Jönköping. I met up with the SVF-students, current and old ones, and also played the final game of the season with Holland KNVB. As I write this I’m home for the second time and my next post will tell you what’s been going since, and what’s about to happen…
