Redneck Target Practicing

This morning Isak made some bacon and eggs for breakfast, and following some target practicing with the three (!) rifles that we brought we headed to the beach. After some playing catch and Frisbee we went to Depoe Bay and had a great lunch at Grace’s Sea Hag, a little diner by the sea. Fresh seafood is so good, especially when you have spent four months in the Mid West where the fish sticks you eat contain fifty-one percent sawdust and other foul stuff.

Half of the way back, Isak got to drive the big truck (Erik drove around with it the night before). That is pretty awesome for a Swede who has never seen anything bigger than a Volvo V70. When we got back we helped out Sam’s parents to prepare the BBQ, steak and Malaysian chicken, delicious. A thing that Sweden can learn from America is how to be a host. American hospitality rocks!!!

Tomorrow we are heading down to San Francisco, and the beaches of California. The drive will be around 14 hours, and on our way we’re passing one of the most fascinating places in USA (we’ve been told), Crater Lake National Park. But now it’s time to shred the bed. Wake up call in six hours. California, here we come!

Hallå Izak! Skoj att få följa med på er resa, låter som ni njuter av livet the American Way. Har ni klämt någon Chicken Fajita Skillet med dubbel milkshake på Denny’s ännu? I annat fall har ni lite kvar att se fram emot!
