Wildlife and Citylife

Kayaking in the Key Peninsula   |   Wildlife and Citylife from Olesund

The following day we returned to Aunt Julie and Uncle Dick who let us borrow their kayaks. After an enjoyable kayak ride we had a sandwich buffet at their porch in the sun and finished the cabin stay with a calm walk on the beach.

As we left the cabin we met up with Mr. and Mrs. Safstrom and Mark, the Swedish-speaking brother and had a nice dinner at Maggie Bluff’s, by the Magnolia marina. Before we returned to Britta´s house we went to West Seattle where there was a lookout spot with a great view of the skyline and the city and took some pictures.

This night the stars were twinkling on the black sky and the moon was glowing intensely; mist was floating around and in between the now dark trees. Birds and bats were to be heard in the forest around us and we could imagine wolves and bears wander around out there. We sat in the hot tub looking out over this landscape and we felt like royalties, this while discussing what maturity really is (well, isn’t that mature ☺).
