Through Suburbs to Seattle

Wöööö, we are finally on our way! I shouldn’t say finally, because we have had a great time at North Park and none of us really wanted to leave, but we are excited to explore the Wild Wild West. (Actually it is not the Wild Wild West, it is just the west coast. Tommy, Alex and Wilhelm are going to the real cowboy land, Montana, to milk cows and ride horses for a week.) We (Isak Nilsson and Erik Olesund) just started a three-week trip to the west coast of the USA. We will travel by airplane, car, bus and train and we hope to see a lot of wondrous and beautiful things. Our travel route is:
- Seattle, WA
- Salem, OR
- San Francisco, CA
- Santa Cruz, CA
- Los Angeles, CA
- Flagstaff, AZ
- Newton, KA
- Chicago, IL
At the moment we are somewhere above the American continent on our way from Chicago to Salt Lake city where we will take another flight to Seattle, the city of Starbucks and the Space Needle. The nice flight attendants provided us with peanuts and pop so we will probably survive for another few hours.
After the graduation ceremony on Saturday we were helping out at Stina Petersons graduation party as BBQ-boys. We wore funny hats and flipped burgers while talking to our friends who defied the chill weather and kept us company. We left around 9 PM for Dan Kasnick´s house. Dan, who is leading a mission’s trip to Bolivia, had the team over for the night before their flight left. We had a nice night with brownies, Mrs. Kasnick’s amazing chocolate chip cookies (For those of you who haven’t been to America, the only thing Americans bake are the two treats mentioned above. It is not totally true, but almost.) and a last few hours with our friends, who some of them we might never see again.
We spent the night at our friend Emily Dixon’s house and after a morning service at Willow Creek, where they had a special mothers day service, we made some pancakes (Swedish ones of course) and then left for Kelly Sladkey. She is a friend of ours who lives in Naperville, a suburb west of Chicago. There we met up with Kaj and Christine and we had a great night with Mario Kart, Taboo, cereal tests, and good conversations. After a good nights sleep we had French toast and coffee for breakfast and then we left for the airport.
We hope you will enjoy this little travel journal and we hope to be able to write often too keep you updated on our adventures.

Nice boys! Låter som en grym resa det här!
Det är roligt att höra från dig! Jag skall följa din resa. Men, jag kommer att be för dig och dina kompisar. Jag vet hur det var när din pappa och jag var ute på våra små äventyr. Fast det är klart, det var nog en helt annan typ av resa än din. Som du vet så fick jag ju alltid ta hand om honom. Det var väldigt jobbigt och jag har inte hämtat mig ännu.
Allvarligt talat, ha riktigt kul och njut av tillvaron. “Fånga dagen” är väl det som gäller. Men, fånga den alltid tillsammans med Herren.

Guys, have an awesome trip! My summer will be fun and i’ll be out west soon but I have some very bad news. I broke my foot yesterday…. This slows me down quite a bit.

By the looks of this picture it seems like you guys had a good time over at Emily’s,Wish i could’ve been there. This picture is priceless, Anyway good luck on your trip it is going to be amazing and call me when your back in the area i think you have my number.

Hoppas nu att Ni inte har tagit er vatten över, när Ni skall besöka så många hemska platser i ett så stort o främmande land. Tänk på att CIA finns överallt,och att Osama Bi Laden inte är infångad ännu.
Men spännande verkar det ju kunna bli. Och kom ihåg, inga flygplanskapningar denna gången. Bush blev så sur förra gången. Men kör försiktigt!!

WOW!! Fräniga ni var då! Bilderna var riktigt coola… såg att john är a bit snyft inför studenten.. är jag med, men jag hade min sista läxa på 2010-talet för en kvart sen så just nu snyftar jag inte!
jag och min lilla vän planerar sommaren och tittar just nu på arvikafestivalen-biljetter. mina favourites the kooks kommer. du och john borde också besöka värmland då, den 3 juli.
